Rye Patch has the following positions open at the Florida Canyon mine in Nevada.


Maintenance Technician

The successful candidate will maintain and repair a fleet of Cat 777 and 785, perform maintenance of support equipment including grader, dozer and rubber tire dozer, oil and filter replacement on all maintenance and operation equipment; perform other duties as assigned. Experience in mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment preferred. Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic schematics required. Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions required. Ability to provide own tools required. Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, team-oriented and work with minimum supervision required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with our without reasonable accommodations required. Proven safety record required. Excellent attendance record required.


IT Specialist

Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying and supporting the organizations computer systems. Support LANs, WANs, network segments, internet and intranet systems. Maintain system efficiency by making recommendation for future upgrades. Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration. Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and setting of personal computers as well as printers. Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, software, security updates and patches. Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems. Ability to plan, organize and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent. Three (3) – Five (5) years of experience in complex system design, programming systems software and support. Manage the operation and delivery of IT services to the site. Must be able to be self-directed with no supervision and ability to make decisions and exhibit collaborative skills. Provide customer interface with external and internal vendors, suppliers and mine site personnel.


Crusher Operator

Responsible for daily field level assessment of equipment and crusher site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions. Perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) on loader, crusher, screens and conveyors. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job.


Senior Accountant

Responsible for preparation of general journal entries, review costs for completeness and accuracy; facilitate budgeting and forecasts, support departments as requested within the scope of accounting discipline. Review costs for accuracy and completeness; reconcile vendor balances/sub-ledgers to the general ledger; prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis; ensure checks issued have cleared. Compile data and prepare a variety of reports, resolve discrepancies; facilitate audits and maintain or examine associated record of government agencies, prepare and file all state and local production, property, sales/use taxes. Two (2) – Four (4) years of experience in accounting and/or accounts payable required. Must possess analytical and critical thinking ability. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or other related field required. Competency in Microsoft applications including Excel and Word. Ability to be organized, efficient, analytical and attention to detail. Demonstrate ability to perform essential functions of the position required.


Warehouse Technician 

Employee will provide warehouse services that require high-quality supply, storage and distribution of goods in support of company and business that could include shipping, receiving, off-loading of supplies with a forklift, material handling, keeping a clean and safe environment, customer service, documentation and freight hauling, and performing any other duties assigned by a supervisor. Must be able to operate a forklift. Will be able to inspect deliveries for damaged goods or discrepancies with suppliers or shippers required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without reasonable accommodations required. Ability to interact positively and effectively with multiple departments, vendors, contractors and other visitors required.


Plant Operator 

This position includes responsibilities such as flow management, operating pumps, kiln, carbon absorption plants, acid wash and a working knowledge of the effects of reagents used in the process area. Other responsibilities include maintaining critical spares (i.e. pipe inventory, bolts and screws, v belts and pump parts), following strip schedules and fixing minor problems with the process PLC control circuits. At least two years as a plant operator and two (2) – seven (7) years of previous mining experience, or seven (7) years as a plant operator in a similar environment preferred. Must be able to maintain a clean and safe working area required.  Have experience on repairing carbon adsorption columns, strip plant, kiln, and acid wash circuits preferred. Must be able to be flexible and assist in the refinery when needed required. Ability to interact positively and effectively with multiple departments required.
