Rye Patch has the following positions open at the Florida Canyon mine in Nevada.

Maintenance Technician

The successful candidate will maintain and repair a fleet of Cat 777 and 785, perform maintenance of support equipment including grader, dozer and rubber tire dozer, oil and filter replacement on all maintenance and operation equipment; perform other duties as assigned. Experience in mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment preferred. Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic schematics required. Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions required. Ability to provide own tools required. Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, team-oriented and work with minimum supervision required Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with our without reasonable accommodations required. Proven safety record required. Excellent attendance record required.

Equipment Operator

Operate one or several types of mobile equipment, such as 100 ton off-road haul trucks, motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, shovels, tractors, or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth. Operate in a safe manner, conduct pre and post shift inspections. May do minor repair and maintenance of equipment in addition to other duties such as labor work while equipment is down. Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of the position required included but not limited to pushing fuel and brake pedal, sedentary for approximately nine hours.

Environmental Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible to actively contribute to the environmental and safety program of Florida Canyon Mine. Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Basic knowledge of environmental compliance and monitoring functions required. Effective oral and written communication skills required. Current experience in different environmental areas related to surface metal mining (i.e. air, waste, water and lands) preferred. Demonstrate ability to perform essential functions of the position required.

Assay Lab Technician

The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, accuracy, logging, preparing, processing, analyzing, and reporting results of analytical testing of various samples. The technician will also be rotated through different stations to include fire assay, wet laboratory, and operation of analytical instrumentation. Ability to follow Supervisor or Lead Technician directions and complete work based on company guidelines for safety, environmental compliance and general work practices and procedures. Must conduct pre-shift inspections of work areas and equipment. A minimum of 1 year of experience in an analytical laboratory preferred, familiarity with chemicals and laboratory procedures preferred; exemplary safety and attendance record required, ability to lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation required; ability to communicate effectively with peers in a team environment required.

Administration Superintendent

Responsibility for the complete accounting function for an operating subsidiary of a public company that includes a team of five, reporting to the General Manager with a reporting line into the Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer. Tasks central to the function include; managing the monthly close processes, oversight of accounts payable and receivable, managing monthly inventory calculations and movements as it relates to leach pad and metals inventory, oversight of the payroll function, cash flow management on site and preparation of annual and quarterly budgets and variance reports. In addition, preparing for and leading the annual audit on site in coordination with the group controller will be a key task. The successful candidate will maintain appropriate internal controls and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. They will be responsible for accurate and timely production of all financial information. Must be organized, capable of managing multiple tasks to deadlines and effective in managing and delegating tasks to staff for effective team performance. As one of the team of Superintendents, the candidate must be comfortable with cross discipline communication and collaboration with other mine department personnel. Bachelor’s degree in accounting required a CPA is preferable, however those with a strong hands-on experience may also be considered. The ability to demonstrate technical knowledge of accounting theory and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required and experience in mining or similar is an advantage but not necessarily essential. Experience with and knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards is also a plus.

IT Specialist

Responsible for designing, organizing, modifying and supporting the organizations computer systems. Support LANs, WANs, network segments, internet and intranet systems. Maintain system efficiency by making recommendation for future upgrades. Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration. Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and setting of personal computers as well as printers. Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, software, security updates and patches. Knowledge of programming languages and operating systems. Ability to plan, organize and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent. Three (3) – Five (5) years of experience in complex system design, programming systems software and support. Manage the operation and delivery of IT services to the site. Must be able to be self-directed with no supervision and ability to make decisions and exhibit collaborative skills. Provide customer interface with external and internal vendors, suppliers and mine site personnel.
